Staffing
Our programme is based on developmentally appropriate practices, with good educational and training requirements for staff.
Our Manager's Nikki Wotherspoon, Elaine Barton and Deputy Anna Whelan, provide the administrative leadership, session planning and supervision of all staff and volunteers.
Under guidelines with the Early Years Development and Childcare plan we also have the input from a Qualified Teacher (QT) Mrs Rose Slack, who is also our Area Senco that means she specialises in children with special needs. She is involved in the support and guidance with curriculum planning, preparation for Ofsted Inspections and ensures that we are meeting the needs of all our individual children and that our curriculum is covering all areas of development, aiming towards the early learning goals.
The safety and well being of your child is always a priority within our setting. Each member of Staff has a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check; this ensures that suitable and appropriate adults are caring for your child. Staff members are always updating their childcare knowledge and attending courses throughout the year. Copies of the certificates are kept in the setting if you wish to see them.
